[만년필]펠리칸 4001 블랙 병잉크와 파카 큉크(Quink) 블랙 병잉크 비교 [Pelikan 4001 vs PARKER QUINK]

안녕하세요.

오늘은 아주 옛날부터 생각해왔던 만년필 잉크 비교를 적어볼까 합니다.

저는 펠리칸 M400으로 입문하면서 각종 블랙 잉크들의 스펙상 가성비가 가장 뛰어난 펠리칸 4001만을 근 6년 동안 썼습니다.

그러다가 우연한 기회에 큉크를 사게될 기회가 있어서 큉크를 한 병 써보고 잇는 중이지요.

두 잉크는 같은 블랙이기는 하지만 성격이 상이하게 다르다는 생각입니다.

일단 외관을 보면 사진상으로는 큉크가 더 크게 나왔지만 스펙상으로 볼때

큉크: 57ml

펠리칸: 62.5ml

로서 펠리칸의 잉크가 양이 더 많습니다.

5ml정도의 차이가 난다는 것인데, 이것은 일반적인 카트리지용 만년필을 6~7번 정도? 충전할 듯 하고요.

퓰런저 방식의 만년필이면 뭐 한 3~4번? 정도 충전 할 것 같습니다.

체감될만한 차이는 아닐 거라고 생각돼요.

가지고 있는 필기구는 몇 개 있는데.. 주로 세일러 프로피트 스탠다드 EF 14K에 사용했습니다.

왜냐하면 이녀석이 원체 세필인지라 잘 마르고 흐름이 안 좋은 펠리칸 잉크를 쓰면 잉크가 마르지 않게 항상 노심초사하면서 사용을 해야 했거든요. 그래서 저는 큉크를 구입하면서도 세일러를 염두에 두고 구입을 했답니다.

보통.. 사람들은 이 두 잉크를 비교할 때 진하고 엷은 농담을 기준으로 얘기를 많이 하시던데, 제가 보기엔 중요한 건 그게 아니라, 흐름입니다. 점성이고요.

구입한 이유도 바로 그것 때문이었고요.

펠리칸의 경우에는 잉크가 정말 엄청 빨리 말라요. 뻑뻑하다는 느낌도 좀 많이 듭니다. 그래서 뭔가 좀 설명하기가 까다롭습니다. 보통 우리가 생각하기로는 점성이 높아서 빨리 마른다는 것은 농도가 짙다는 것이고 그렇다면 오히려 미끌미끌해야 하지 않나 하고 생각하게 되는데 그게 아닙니다. 이따금 닙의 끝에서 "빡"하는 느낌이 들 때가 있어요. 종이를 긁을랑 말랑, 잉크가 헛발질이 날랑말랑, 물론 이게 좀 두꺼운 닙에서 필기체로 흘려쓸 때는 꽤 도움이 될지도 모르겠습니다마는, 세필에 사용하기에는 조금만 펜을 멍하니 들고 있어도 촉에 잉크가 말라버려서 신경쇠약에 걸릴 지경이 되어버리더군요. 물론 나중에 가서는 안 쓸떄는 자동으로 캡을 닫도록 몸이 적응을 해버렸지만 말입니다.

반면, 큉크의 경우에는 잉크가 만년필에서 잘 안 마릅니다. 그래서 그냥 멍하니 들고 있어도 돼요. 펠리칸 4001 쓸 때는 꿈도 못 꾸던 일이죠. 만년필을 오픈한 채로 딴 짓(마우스 질)을 할 수 있다니 얼마나 감사하던지요. 그리고 또 종이(더블에이 80g)에서는 또 잘 마릅니다. 쓰자마자 바로 문지르지 않는 이상에야 2~3초가 나지면 손가락으로 꾹 찍어봐도 묻어나지 않아요. 오히려 묻어나기는 펠리칸이 더 심했던 것 같습니다. 아 이거 완전히 펠리칸 디스하는 글이 되어버리네요; 6년 간 충성을 바쳤는데 허무합니다. 필감은? 음 글쎄요, 확실히 필감은 쫀득쫀득한 맛은 좀 떨어졌던 것 같죠? 아무래도 묽은 느낌이니까요?

그리고 다 아시는대로, 펠리칸과 큉크긔 색깔을 비교했을 때 확실히 큉크가 좀 푸른빛이 나서 남색과 비슷하게 보입니다,

마는 큉크만 놓고 보면 분간이 안 갑니다. 그냥 검은색으로 보여요.

물론 저는 세필로만 비교를 했기 때문에 F~M님에 사용하면 정반대의 결과가 나올지도 모르겠습니다. 여튼 도움이 되는 글이었기를 바랍니다.
